About Me.
My name is Daley Scott, and I am a fourth year at the University of Cincinnati. I am currently studying to earn my BSN in the College of Nursing, and I am in the University Honors Program. I graduated with honors from Ursuline Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio in May of 2014. I was very involved at my high school; I played soccer, participated in many community service projects, was a homeroom representative for student council, hosted shadows, gave tours, and was a mentor/ retreat leader for the underclassmen.
For the past year, I worked as a patient care assistant (PCA) on the Hematology/ Oncology unit at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. This summer I am continuing my career at Cincinnati Children's Hospital as a co- op student on the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit. I am excited to learn more about being a nurse in the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI). I am also a part of the University of Cincinnati Greek Life as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, a peer tutor for the College of Nursing, and I am on the University of Cincinnati's Love Your Melon Campus Crew.
Ever since I was little I have wanted to be a nurse. I have always been interested in and enjoyed learning about anatomy and physiology. My dream job would be working as a hematology/ oncology nurse at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. After I complete my BSN degree, I hope to go back to school to either become a nurse practitioner or nurse anesthetist.
